and the availability to spend weekends and summers out on the boat.
Boating has also become a great sport as well. America’s Cup is a well known event, as well as rafting, kayaking, and canoeing. However,
sailing is probably the post popular among all the aforementioned events.
A boating enthusiast is not someone who is only relegated to owning a boat, but can simply enjoy going out to watch sailboats cruise up and
down the river. Also, a boat enthusiast may be someone who is a history buff, and either lives in or visits New York when the fleet of tall ships
dock at New York harbor.
There are a variety of boats such as bass, cruisers, deck and pontoons, bowriders, cuddy cabins, bowriders, houseboats, ski boats, flats and
bay boats, and offshore fishing boats. For the boating enthusiast, a yearly trip to a boat show will surely result in the purchase of a specific
type of boat such as those mentioned.
Visit any European country and you will find a wide variety of yachts which are proudly displayed along the coast of such countries as Greece,
Italy, and Monaco, just to name a few.
For the majority of the population, however, owning a sailboat or small cruiser is sufficient for any boating enthusiast to cast off and
become one with the sea. If you’ve never been on a boat, you must try it one time. The experience is one you will never forget.
