Some people choose to go ice fishing with another purpose in mind. They know that beneath that hard and icy layer of shoreline and lapping surf, where the water changes to a darker color, there are lobsters walking across the ocean bottom. Of course, they do take the time to drop a fishing pole into the hole that they created, and hope against hope that the lobster will get snagged by the super-sized hook that they placed on the line of their ice fishing rods. They will continue to go ice fishing until they catch a big fish too.

They also know that they should keep the rules for ice fishing handy, as well as keeping their fishing license in their pocket.
